Our Farm

In 2014, with the aim of producing pure food, Munjer Alam Manik and a few of his friends started Barendra Krishi Udyog Farm on just 2 bighas of land in Dakkhin shahar, Harudighi, Chapainawabganj. Overcoming many obstacles and adversities, in just a few years, they expanded the farm to about 110 bighas by cultivating and  farming cow, goat and fish. After that, Barendra Krishi Udyog started supplying the products produced in the farm to various parts of the country including his own district. He started cultivating black rice experimentally and became a topic of discussion in the mass media of Bangladesh. The report was published in several newspapers and televisions, including Bangladesh Journal and DBC24 News. The story of entrepreneur Munjer Alam Manik leaving a good job in Dhaka city to become a farmer was published in the English newspaper Daily Star. With the continued success of Barendra Krishi Udyog, Shaikh Siraj, famous for BTV’s Mati O Manush and Channel i’s Hridoye Mati O Manush, visited Barendra Krishi Udyog, later a video report of his was aired on BTV’s Dibanishi Krishi program, which encouraged many young entrepreneurs in the country to become self-reliant. Barendra Krishi Udyog is currently delivering its products directly to the city residents by opening a pure food sales center called ‘Suddha‘ at Gabtala mor in Chapainawabganj and delivering to various parts of Bangladesh.
